  1. I really love the letters in the frames. Such a clever idea. And, I could even use and create my own word. Thinking of “food” for our kitchen wall maybe?

    1. Great idea Kim! Thanks for stopping by and for sharing.

  2. My Dad had an apple orchard with 20 different varieties of apples (and many more fruit and nut trees). I loved fall with the harvesting of apples and walnuts and making cider. Many days were spent canning and freezing. So yes fall is a favorite season. Never was time in those days to decorate.

Maybe now is the time. BUT I have had a winter home in Tennessee. Doesn’t look like I am going to be able to return. I am again responsible to take care of my adult handicapped son. So I have moved my TN household home to Michigan. Trying to sort things out. Clutter everywhere. Reading on subject of decluttering just doesn’t get it done.

On a previous post you asked about fall TV shows. My favorite show last season was “Designated Survivor”. If you can watch last season. I can’t wait for it to start again. I’ve seen some other pilots that look good. Let us know what your favorite is this season.

I have really enjoyed seeing your posts on your new half bathroom. I would love to do the same thing in my upstairs closet. I don’t have a bathroom upstairs. However, It is a cape cod and has a slanted ceiling. I talked to a real estate agent and she didn’t think that it would be cost effective but I am still thinking about it.

    1. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now, Rose. I hope that you are able to enjoy the upcoming fall season.

Thanks for the tip on your favorite tv show. I’ve never heard of that one so I’ll check it out. Still looking for the “one”. 😉

We are still working on the powder room. Such a small space but it’s a huge amount of work. Life has gotten in the way lately so we haven’t moved along as much as I’d like. I am still working on it in bits and pieces though. It’s tough to know what to do when a real estate agent advises against an improvement in our homes. I guess you just need to weigh the pros and cons. It may make life easier for you to have one upstairs but you might not get your money back out of it when you sell. Tough call.

Thanks for stopping in and sharing. 🙂

  3. This is a nice round up of ideas. I love velvet pumpkins and i get a few each year. Joann fabric store has a nice selection for very reasonable prices. I ordered online but they probably have some in the store too. Fall is a fun season to decorate for because it is a long season and there is no rush to get it done unlike christmas. I am using golds and soft autumn colors this year. Looking forward to your updates on all of your projects.

    1. Thanks Julie! Fall is my favorite season to decorate, too. Like you said, you can take your time (and you don’t have to decorate a big tree). 😉 Your fall color palette sounds pretty. Have fun decorating for the season! 🙂

  4. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am thrilled to be the winner and will make good use of the Home Depot gift card. I am not yet ready for fall, but will save these lovely ideas for September.

    Wishing you a lovely day!

    1. Congrats to you, PJ! I know that you will make good use of your gift card, which is on the way to you. Happy shopping!!!

  5. Marlene Stephenson says:

I love all those ideas of different pumpkins. I want a velvet pumpkin, maybe this year. Thank you.

    1. I agree, they are all great ideas, Marlene. The velvet pumpkins are definitely my favorite! 🙂

  6. I love the canning lid pumpkin, that’s adorable!! I could probably actually do that one too, I have some lids around. Plus it won’t be tragic if the cat gets it, haha. Thanks for sharing and congrats to the winner!

    1. I love the canning lid pumpkin idea Ginger, and it looks like an easy DIY.

  7. Wow, what great fall ideas, thanks for sharing! Have a great week! Congratulations PJ!

    1. They are all great ideas. Thanks so much, Kaycee for stopping in. Hope you have a great week!

  8. Hi Kristi,

Looking at all you’ve been doing lately. The house is really taking shape. Things are getting back to normal here, as normal as can be and I am looking forward to retiring in December and spending more time with my grandkids. It is bittersweet, but I will get through it. I am thankful to have such dear friends and family for support.

Can’t wait to see what else you have in store! Take care, my friend! MJ

    1. Hi MJ. It’s so nice to hear from you. I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through this past year. I’m here if you need a friend. Thanks so much for stopping in. My best to you, my friend.

  9. Congrats to you PJ and wow, all this pretty almost makes me wish it was fall…almost! 😉

    1. I’m not looking forward to winter but I’m definitely ready for fall. 🙂

  10. Happy that I’ve never been a judge, because if I had to choose which one I love the most, well that will/is hard for me to choose because I love them all. Each one is gorgeous. I too, am not ready for summer to end, although I love the fall decorations. I avoid going into the stores, because its ashame that the stores almost pushed thanksgiving decoration out the door. It’s mostly all about Christmas.

    1. Awww, you are too sweet, Ivory. Thanks for the nice comment. I agree with you about the holiday decor in the stores. It’s just awful that they put Christmas out in July. I stay out of them too.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you are having a good week!

  11. Fall is my favourite time of year and I am ready for it after a very hot summer. On some of the trees, the leaves are already turning and just a few here and there fall to the ground. I’ve been wanting to dig out the fall wreath for the front door but may wait for just a bit.
Great inspiration pics! The metallic pumpkins are different and fun. I’ve seen the fall and Halloween stuff creep into the stores but no Christmas yet. Geez, that’s rushing it isn’t it?

    1. I can’t believe they had their Christmas stuff out. It’s just too much! If I hadn’t gone in when I did, there would have been no Fall stuff left. I love Fall too but I am so not ready for summer to be over. I am absolutely dreading winter but I’m trying to enjoy the nice weather while we still have it.
Glad you found some inspiration from the Fall decor post. I’ve come up with a few ideas myself.;)
As always thanks so much for your visit.

  12. I love the fall leaf board! Thanks for these ideas. You said you dried the leaves between pieces of wax paper to preserve them?
I need some more decorations, so thank you.

    1. Thanks Julie. I love the leaf board that the awesome Chris from Just a Girl did. Such a great idea. If you head over to see her you can find her tutorial.
      I appreciate your visit.

  13. I am in the process of moving right now so Fall decorating hasn’t come to mind. I for one am ready for Fall since I live in Florida and it was 100 on my back porch today. I love the canning ring and velvet pumpkins. The white ones are pretty cool too. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Sounds like you need some Fall weather right now Debbie. I lived in Florida for 7 years so I know what summer is like there, and you really don’t get a Fall season. I guess you’ll have to decorate, after you move, and make it feel like Fall. 😉

Good luck with your move. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  14. Man oh man, I can’t wait until I retire! What great fall ideas! You know I’ve been kicking around the idea of painting my dining room set and the photo from Craftberry Bush shows the china cabinet painted white. I like it! I may just do that now. What do you think, Kristi?

I’m getting in the fall decorating mood, but I’m not quite ready to let summer go. I will probably wait until after Labor Day to start decorating. I’ll be off that week so it will be a good time to start.

Like the chalk painted pumpkins too and the bedspread pumpkins!

    1. Hi MJ. I think that your hutch and dining room set would look great painted! Such a huge job though. 😉

I’m not ready for the summer weather to be over either. I’m worried about what winter will bring. I guess we can’t stop it though.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I always appreciate it!

      K.
